Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP): Residents along nuclear waste transportation route

In this video, residents living along the transportation route for nuclear waste shipments from Los Alamos to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (Highway 285), share messages to the governor of New Mexico, calling on the state to prevent additional waste shipments.

"Before New Mexico agreed to be the test state for the WIPP dump, it legally demanded that the waste be only moderately contaminated, limited in volume, and that shipments end in 2024. The DOE (Department of Energy) has decided to break each of those promises."
